The name Cat Chat originated from a WhatsApp chat group created between friends as a joke to acknowledge the seemingly never-ending saga of cats somehow appearing and wanting to be a part of their lives.​ On the day the WhatsApp group was created, a cat began to cry outside Julie's apartment door. ​

Julie Feskoe is an award-winning filmmaker most known for her streaming series "Drinks & Frames" and "A Sonnet A Day - Highlights". Julie began her involvement in the performing arts in High School by apprenticing at the Westport Country Playhouse in Connecticut and studied at Stella Adler studio of Acting.
After receiving her BA in English Literature at CUNY Hunter College and taking time to develop her career in the corporate world, she returned to her preforming arts training by taking on-camera acting classes with John Howard Swain and also studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade (“UCB”). At UCB, Julie had the privilege of studying under Jeff Hiller, Matt Dennie, Alex Dickson, Sebastian Conelli and Abra Tabak.
